weight of the item

inclusions and/or overall condition

current market price (or spot price)

Diamonds add value to jewelry and may be included in final pricing. Small diamonds, or anything under .20 carat, are called melee, and may not add significant value to your jewelry. These are mass produced and quite common. Other gemstones are semi-precious and retain no resale value. Depending on the size of the gemstone, we  may deduct weight from the jewelry piece to determine the value of the precious metal.
